Yunnan Project Office
HFHI
in China began in Yunnan Affiliate in China's southwest in 2002.
It changed to be the Yunnan Project Office in 2003 and started
to provide decent housing for rehabilitated people in Yunnan
in Sept. 2002 in partnership with the Yunnan Disabled Persons
Federation, by building and renovating 28 simple, decent houses
in Xianghai’an Rehabilitation Village, Luquan County.
Yunnan Project Office builds homes for the poor as well as disadvantaged
people such as leprosy sufferers. To
date, the Yunnan Project Office has built over 230 houses
in Yunnan. Currently the projects have been developed in Wenshan,
Zhaotong, Chuxiong, Dali and Kunming. New projects will be
promoted in other areas in the near future. Almost half of
the houses are for rehabilitation projects.
